DeAndre Washington’s fan made collegiate highlight reel will get the Oakland Raiders’ faithful excited over the young running back’s potential.

Sure, DeAndre Washington has already given the NFL a taste of what he can do at the professional level. As a rookie for the Oakland Raiders a season ago the Texas Tech product showed flashes of eye popping ability. Washington racked up 467 yards on 87 carries to give himself a 5.4 yards per carry average, to go along with a pair of rushing touchdowns. The former fifth round selection also 17 passes for 115 yards.

So why revisit Washington’s Raider hype tape from last draft season? Because with players a so-close-but-so-far ten days away from reporting to training camp, we all need a little more football in our lives to keep us going.

The highlight reel, made by a fan with the YouTube username ProRaider_Villa23, displays perfectly the athleticism and versatility that made Washington him such an integral part of the Texas Tech offense. As a senior in 2015, Washington rushed for 1,492 yards on a 6.4 yards per carry average, while scoring 14 touchdowns. The Texas native also added 41 receptions for 385 yards and two scores to his stat line on the year.

Given his solid collegiate production, paired with his already promising output at the NFL level, and the Raiders’ should have in Washington a player with a good shot to have a breakout season in 2017.
