You’ve heard it stated many times. They say you can’t tell the players without a scorecard. Of course, that’s not really the total point here. Still, the Washington Redskins have scored in this sense. Two weeks after the 2017 NFL draft, the organization has nine of its 10 selections under contract. That includes first-round defensive end Jonathan Allen. The 17th overall selection from the University of Alabama inked a four-year, $11.5 million deal, with a fifth-year option.

All told, here’s a look at the team’s 2017 draft class and their contract terms (all via Spotrac). Meanwhile, the lone unsigned choice is UCLA cornerback Fabian Moreau, the team’s third-round choice.

Rd/Pick  Player (School)

1/17                       DE Jonathan Allen (Alabama)

4 years, $11.6 million

2/49                       LB Ryan Anderson (Alabama)

4 years, $5.32 million

3/81                       DB Fabian Noreau (UCLA)

Unsigned

4/114                     RB Samaje Perine (Oklahoma

4 years, $3.05 million

4b/123                  DB Montae Nicholson (Michigan State)

4 years, $3.021 million

5/154                     TE Jeremy Sprinkle (Arkansas)

4 years, $2.67 million

6/199                     C Chase Roullier (Wyoming)

4 years, $2.54 million

6b/209                WR Robert Davis (Georgia Southern)

4 years, $2.53 million

7/230                     LB Josh Harvey-Clemons (Louisville)

4 years, $2.48 million

7b/235                  DB Josh Holsey (Auburn)

4 years, $2.48 million

Yea, it should be only a matter of time before Moreau signs a four-year contract. These days, getting your draft choices signed is a lot easier than it used to be. However, things changed back in 2011 and we see fewer holdouts now.

Regardless, the Washington Redskins continues to be efficient when it comes to taking care of business. Team president Bruce Allen and his staff have seemingly done an excellent job in free agency and the draft. Now the pieces have to gel.
