Blaine Gabbert has been benched.

Gabbert's elbow injury has him questionable for Week 12, but coach Mike Mularkey said at Monday's presser he's been benched regardless. Unless Chad Henne utterly face-plants, it's likely the No. 10 pick of the 2011 draft — a player GM Gene Smith traded up for — has made his final start of 2012, and possibly his career. Gabbert simply hasn't been good enough through 691 career passes, completing just 372 of them (53.8 percent) while posting a 70.2 QB rating, 6.0 YPA and 21:17 TD:INT ratio. The Jaguars offense looked like it was out on bail after Gabbert was benched Sunday. Jimmy Clausen is going to have competition for No. 3 jobs in 2013.

We all saw it coming. Smartest thing the Jags have done all year.

Bout damn time. Henne has been tearing it up in the past 2 games.

Good to see a Michigan QB have some success. Too bad it's with the Jaguars /:

Green Bay Packers (1995-life)
Chicago Cubs (1997-life)
Tennessee Titans (2010-life)

Good decision by the Jaguars. Blaine Gabbert hasn't been producing nor has he had a moment where you think to yourself, "this guy is the QB of the future!"

While Chad Henne isn't their long-term plan, he did play extremely well against a top-D. It may be a fluke performance, but if you're Jacksonville you have to ride the hot hand in this situation.

The Titans better have prepared, this is a big game, I don't think Gabbert should be written off yet, still young, and while Henne had done well, it wasn't like Gabbert had recievers making big plays for him like they have with Henne

Gabbart was put on season ending IR. He wasn't benched. He got hurt in the first quarter of the Texans game.
