It was a cloudy but cool and comfortable afternoon for Fan Appreciation Day. Hundreds of fans came out today to see a preview of the 2017 Rutgers Scarlet Knights. The fans were treated to an open live practice which showcase the Scarlet Knights’ offense, defense, and special teams drills. There were some good plays, and bad plays but that’s what practice is for. Here is my analysis from today’s practice session.

Giovanni Rescigno played well but didn’t separate from Kyle Bolin or Johnathan Lewis. It may come down to a coin flip on who will start for the Scarlet Knights.Photo by Michael Reaves/Getty Images

QB Competition
What I was intrigued the most was the quarterback play between senior Kyle Bolin, senior Giovanni Rescigno, and true freshmen Johnathan Lewis.
