The Eagles announced Thursday that they have signed Corey Graham to a 1-year deal

Corey Graham has played for Bears, Ravens and Bills before signing with the Eagles

Much needed veteran presence

Corey Graham has been in the NFL since 2007, and made the pro bowl in 2011. He originally played corner, but has since been converted to safety. Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz has ties to Graham back to his 2014 days in Buffalo.

In 2016 Graham accumulated 87 tackles, including 1 sack and 1 interception with the Bills. Over his entire NFL career, Graham has 612 tackles, 3 sacks and 15 interceptions.

This is a move the Eagles needed to make. Corey Graham adds veteran leadership to a young secondary squad, specifically at corner. His versatility to be able to play safety and corner is also a weight off Jim Schwartz’s shoulders. He surely will be a valuable asset to the Eagles this season, and this may be the move many of us were waiting for the Eagles to make.
