Two of the most storied programs in college football will once again face off, as the Texas Longhorns and Alabama Crimson Tide announced a home-and-home series on Wednesday. As part of a loaded future non-conference schedule, Texas will host Alabama in 2022 and then travel to Tuscaloosa for the return game in 2023.
The school also announced a home game against UTEP to fill out the non-conference schedule in 2020. Texas will also play USF at home and travel to LSU that season.
Due to the new agreement with Alabama, Texas and Ohio State both agreed to push back the previously-scheduled non-conference games between the Longhorns and Buckeyes from 2022 and 2023 to 2025 and 2026. A home game against UCF that was scheduled for the 2023 season has also been cancelled.
