Every year, each team has one player nominated for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. The Walter Payton Man of the Year Award recognizes NFL players for their efforts on and off the field.
Baltimore’s nominee is tight end Benjamin Watson. This is not Watson’s first time being nominated as he was a finalist in 2015.
The three finalists will be announced in January and the winner will be announced at the NFL Honors Awards Show.
Baltimore Beatdown’s Managing Editor Kyle P. Barber had an opportunity to interview Benjamin Watson about his charitable work, football and life in general.

In that interview, Watson was asked about his ‘One More Foundation’ that he started in 2008. Below is Watson’s response.
Basically, the desire to leave a legacy. Number one, for our children of giving and also to get other people involved.
