Two award lists in one week for Shea Patterson.
A day after earning a spot on the Davey O’Brien Award semifinalist list, the junior quarterback made the finalist cut Thursday for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award.

The official website announced the 10 finalists based on the following criteria:
“After 10 weeks of play, the Golden Arm Award Selection Committee selected the remaining nominees based on player performance on-and-off the field. Candidates must be a college senior or fourth-year junior on schedule to graduate with their class.”
Patterson was an early enrollee at Ole Miss in Jan. 2016, so he is eligible for the honors.
Penn State’s Trace McSorley is the only other conference quarterback on the list.
