Saints Defensive Backs coach Aaron Glenn, the former 3x All-Pro and 3x Pro Bowler who played for five NFL teams (including New Orleans), is being considered to replace current Patriots Defensive Coordinator Matt Patricia with him being expected to leave for the Detroit Lions.
After Glenn’s career in the league ended as a player, he re-joined the league as a Personnel Scout with the New York Jets for two years before being picked up by the Cleveland Browns as their Asst. Defensive Backs coach. In 2016, New Orleans brought him back to the big easy hiring him as the Defensive Backs coach and he is seen as instrumental in helping turn around a Saints defense that was historically bad.
The report by Ian Rapoport lists Glenn’s name, along with Brian Flores, as the two favorites for the DC position.
