The Minnesota Vikings (5-1) are coming off their first loss of the season and will head to the Windy City to face the struggling Chicago Bears (1-6) on Halloween night.

The Vikings are 3-4 all-time on Halloween with the last win coming against the Denver Broncos in 1999. Vikings' fans could not help, but think that these two teams should have met in the Super Bowl nine months earlier.

Jeff George went 17/29 for 218 yards and two touchdowns. Leroy Hoard rushed for 84 yards on 18 carries, including a 53 yard run on 3rd & 37. Cris Carter had eight receptions for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Chris Doleman recorded two sacks and the late Orlando Thomas returned an interception 27 yards for a touchdown.

The Vikings won 23-20 and improved to 4-4 on the season. They finished the season 10-6 and lost to the eventual Super Bowl Champion St. Louis Rams 49-37 in the second round of the playoffs.
