It has been a rough year for the Minnesota Vikings (7-8) after getting off to a 5-0 start. They will close out the season on Sunday against the Chicago Bears (3-12).

The Vikings are 57-52-2 all-time against the Bears. They have had many memorable games against their longtime rivals. One of those games came in 2008 when both teams were fighting for the division late in the season.

Gus Frerotte went 16/25 for 210 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Adrian Peterson rushed for 131 yards (100 in the first half) and a touchdown on 28 carries. Former Bear Bernard Berrian had 4 receptions for 122 yards, which included a 99-yard touchdown. Jared Allen recorded 2.5 sacks.

"It was the luckiest touchdown I ever had," Berrian said, adding, "I was actually surprised how open I was." (ESPN.com)

The Vikings stopped the Bears on 4th-and-goal right before that play. The Bears were ahead 7-3 at the time.

"That's the first time I've ever seen a 99-yard play, and I've been playing football since I was 8 years old," said Allen. "That right there, that's just a dagger in your chest. Defensively, if that happened to us, I'd be like, 'Holy smokes.'" (ESPN.com)

Kyle Orton went 11/29 for 153 yards, 2 touchdowns and 3 interceptions for the Bears. Matt Forte rushed for 96 yards on 22 carries. Devin Hester had 3 receptions for 65 yards, including a 65-yard touchdown.

Coming into the game, both teams were 6-5. The Vikings won 34-14 and went to win the division. They finished 10-6 on the season.
