The Philadelphia Eagles skill at cornerback has not been great in the past few years. They have a rising player in Jalen Mills, but other than that there hasn’t been any worth production from the position.
The Eagles are looking to bolster the cornerback position over the offseason and started so by signing Mitchell White from the Ottawa RedBlacks to a reserve/future contract. This will now be the second consecutive year where the Eagles have signed a cornerback from Canada (Aaron Grymes in 2016 offseason).
White formerly played for Michigan State before going to the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL. He then signed with the RedBlacks and went on to win the Grey Cup in 2016.
White will be in competition for a roster spot with Grymes and other cornerbacks that the Eagles will most likely bring in this coming offseason.
