Preseason Stats: 7 tackles, 1 forced fumble

Regular Season Stats: 11 tackles, 1 sack

The Philadelphia Eagles selected rookie cornerback Blake Countess in the 6th round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Countess played in all four preseason games for the Eagles but was released immediately after. He was then signed onto the Los Angeles Rams practice squad but did not play a regular season game until late November.

Looking for depth in the secondary, the Eagles drafted Countess in hopes that he would be a fill-in slot cornerback. At the end of preseason trials, however, the Eagles remained skeptical about his performance. For the Rams, Countess did not start a game until Week 16.
