Now that the NFL regular season has reached its end, award season is upon us. The New England Patriots finished the season with a league-best 14-2 record and once again have multiple players and personnel in consideration for league-wide honors.

On Wednesday, Pro Football Focus announced its 2016 All-Pro Team. Six Patriots players made the cut:

First-team selections

  • QB Tom Brady (Grade: 99.3)
  • CB Malcolm Butler (90.8)

Second-team selections

  • FB James Develin (87.1)
  • RT Marcus Cannon (87.6)
  • LB Dont'a Hightower (85.1)
  • DB Devin McCourty (89.2)

(Grades between 85-89.9 are considered "high quality". Grades between 90-99.9 are considered "elite".)

Tom Brady, a favorite for the 2016 NFL MVP award, also graded out as PFF's top quarterback this season -- over six points higher than second place Matt Ryan. Joining Brady as the team's only other first-team selection was cornerback Malcolm Butler who graded out as fifth best among cornerbacks. Of New England's four second-team selections, veteran safety Devin McCourty recorded the highest grade at 89.2 (4th best at his position), followed by Marcus Cannon at 87.6 (10th), James Develin at 87.1 (2nd) and Dont'a Hightower at 85.1 (13th).
