Creating the 2017 Eagles Dream Team

The Philadelphia Eagles were far from perfect during their 2016 campaign, but they are a few roster moves away from becoming contenders if upper management can get a few details right and fit everything within their cap space, which is just below $10 million.

Here at Pro Football Spot, myself and two other analysts have become the general manager of our own Eagles roster and have either cut, signed, or looked to the draft for players who we think will make the Eagles a contending team in 2017. Each different roster will include the main 53-man roster that contains current starters, players that become starters through the draft, or free agents that have come in and replace current players.

If the Eagles want to mirror any of the three mock rosters shown above before the 2017 season begins, Howie Roseman will have to make some power moves with the little cap space that the Eagles have. It will be tough to resign all of the players on the current roster so cuts such as Connor Barwin and Leodis McKelvin make sense. Nevertheless, the Eagles will need to address the skill positions if they want to have any chance at being contenders next season.
