The official release of the full 2017 NFL schedule isn’t until tonight. A number of the biggest games on the docket have been leaked to the public early, though. This leak includes the New York Giants and their most prestigious games of the season.

To begin the year, the Giants will open against the Dallas Cowboys. Sound familiar? New York has opened against Dallas three straight years now and five of the past six seasons. The game will be played in Dallas and will be an excellent opener to determine an early favorite in the NFC East. The winner of this game will obviously have nothing wrapped up, but it will have a leg up on the rest of the division, considering preseason expectations for these two clubs.

New York will reportedly have back-to-back prime time games to begin the season. After the opening Sunday night game against the Cowboys, the Giants play the Detroit Lions on Monday night in Week 2. The team has just three prime time games on schedule all year according to early leaks; thus, two straight to start the season is a bit odd.

The other game of note this year will be on Thanksgiving Day. New York travels to Washington to play the Redskins in a holiday game. It is the first of the two matchups between the clubs this year. NY is also expected to finish its season slate against the Redskins in Week 17.

We will wait until tomorrow to get the full, official schedule from the NFL.
