Former Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver Nelson Spruce has signed with the Los Angeles Chargers, per an announcement by the team on Monday night.
The Buffaloes all-time leading receiver will see time with his fourth NFL team after being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Los Angeles Rams in 2016. “He’s a good football player,” Rams coach Sean McVay said in September. “He’s got great instincts, good aggressive hands. Unfortunately, the injuries really kept him out of chances to compete for a roster spot.”
Spruce spent time with the Chicago Bears prior to his most-recent practice squad duty for the Kansas City Chiefs, which ended with his release last week.
