Baltimore concluded mandatory minicamp on Thursday. The next full team practice will be July 18th, which is the start of training camp.
Following Thursday’s practice, quarterbacks coach James Urban spoke to the media about the quarterback room, and Joe Flacco in particular.
“Joe Flacco, to me, has one of the great arms maybe in the history of this league. That has been evident from the beginning. I probably have placed a big emphasis on mobility, movement within the pocket, footwork, timing, but the ability to push up and slide, find passing lanes, buy time — all of that has been a big emphasis. Not sure that it was or wasn’t emphasized in the past, but that’s where I go pretty quickly,” Urban said.
Urban’s analysis is extremely accurate as Flacco has struggled greatly in the past couple of seasons.
