One of the Jacksonville Jaguars biggest offseason additions receives honors after week one.

Defensive end Calais Campbell was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday.

In Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans, Campbell recorded a career-high and franchise record with four total sacks. Additionally, the Jags defensive end had six tackles, two tackles for loss, and five quarterback hurries.

In the Jaguars 29-7 win over the Houston Texans, the defense recorded ten total sacks, four turnovers, and held the Texans to 203 total yards.

The Jacksonville Jaguars lead the NFL in total defense with fewest yards allowed in week one.
