The Indianapolis Colts have signed former Seattle Seahawk tight end Brandon Williams. He’s played in 45 career games with stops in Carolina, Miami and Seattle. In 16 games last season, he caught 2 passes for 36 yards.
No contract details were given at this time.
It’ll be interesting to see if Williams becomes the No. 2 tight end in the offense. With Dwayne Allen getting traded, and Jack Doyle becoming the lead tight end, there will be a competition for the second tight end spot between Erik Swoope and now Williams. The production likely means he starts on special teams, but with the void on the roster he’ll have a plenty of chances to compete.
