Titans Fantasy Football: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em, and Sleepers

Believe it or not, there are players that you can start in the Tennessee Titans game against the Houston Texans... but who?

Start 'Em

This is going to be a rough game- period. The Texans have a sick defense like the Steelers but also have a very good offense; neverthless, there are Titans worth starting in your fantasy leagues.

1. Defense/ST- Okay, that is a very, bold prediction. The Titans defense held the Pittsburgh Steelers to 31 rushing yards and 194 passing yards in Week 1. That is crazy. On the other hand, Arian Foster only rushed for 57 yards with no touchdowns against the Chargers' unimpressive defense. The Texans are going up against a stacke ddefense with DT Jurrell Casey, DE Derrick Morgan, MLB Moise Fokou, WLB Zach Brown, and SS Bernard Pollard, who all combined for 23 tackles against the Steelers; furthermore, Casey, Morgan, and Brown combined for 5 sacks in their regular season opener after showing impressive pressure during the preseason. This trend is going to continue against the team that allowed their quarterback to lose part of his ear in 2012. With former-Texan Bernard Pollard leading the defense, do not be surprised when the hard hits shock the Texans.

2. Rob Bironas- Robby B is the man. After a scary preseason, he completed all 3 of his kicks against the Steelers. Against Houston, he will be asked to kick more, and he will do so successfully. Bironas has a history of winning games in Houston for the team (see 2007, 2009).

3. Chris Johnson- CJ did not have his best game against the Steelers because they have a strong rushing defese. Although the Texans have a strong defense, they allowed the San Diego Chargers 80 rushing yards. That number doesn't seem big, but Ryan Mathews and Ronnie Brown are not nearly as good as Chris Johnson and company. CJ will be able to return to form against the Texans on Sunday.

Sit 'Em

1. Jake Locker- Jake is not going to have a stellar game in Houston. He's not a bad quarterback, and he looked much better i Pittsburgh than he did in 2012; however, he is facing a very strong defense led by J.J. Watt. The receivers (excluding Nate Washington) did not play well for the young quarterback. This will probably not be the game for them to do so.

2. Kendall Wright- Wright just didn't play well against the Steelers. He may be hampered by his injury from the preseason, but he needs to prove himself before he's worth starting.

1. Delanie Walker- The Texans did well to stop Antonio Gates, but Delanie Walker got 40 yards against the Steelers defense. Walker may be able to show up against the Texans.

2. Kenny Britt-the leading wide receiver for the San Diego Chargers against Houston was Eddie Royal with 24 yards on 8 receptions. Britt is much better when he is playing with his head on straight, and it's time for him to do so. After struggling against Pittsburgh, Kenny Britt is bound to have his breakout game of the season, as he always does, especially considering that he is playing for a new contract in 2014 (see Eagles in 2010).
