The Red Raiders took full advantage of the howling wind in Lubbock this weekend. Scoring a total of 56 runs in the series sweep over Kansas State. Any number of players could be singled out for having a great weekend but with his nine RBIs in Friday night’s game, Grant Little tied a Texas Tech single game record.
In that Friday night game, he went 4-5 with one three run home run and one grand slam. He had an entire week’s production in just one game. For the week he hit .500, scored seven runs, and 13 total RBIs.
Little is having an incredible sophomore season and along with Josh Jung is pushing for conference player of the year. I believe that this award right now has Little in the lead with Texas’ Kody Clemens a close second. The award just might come down to the three game series in Lubbock in early May.
