Georgia Tech has reportedly added a new coach to its defensive coaching staff in former Wofford Defensive Coordinator Shiel Wood.

Wood coached at Wofford in two separate stints. The first stint was from 2007-2012, and the second stint was 2016-2017. During that first stint, Wood coached on both offense and defense and coached safeties under new Tech defensive coordinator in 2011 and 2012.
In his second stint, Wood was named safeties coach and recruiting coordinator before adding the defensive coordinator title in 2017.
