Mississippi State was considered the leader of the pack in the recruitment of Jarrian Jones leading up to his official visit to Norman for the Spring Game, but the four-star safety was impressed by what he saw and announced his commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners on Monday evening. Jones is Oklahoma’s seventh overall commit in the past four days, joining Theo Wease, Arjei Henderson, Jamal Morris, Derek Green, 2020 RB Jaylan Knighton and Notre Dame grad transfer Jay Hayes.

Jones teased at the possibility of a commitment on Sunday, which started a firestorm of #Jarrian2Norman tweets throughout OU Twitter.

The Flowood, Miss. standout — who measures 6’1” and 185 lbs. — is the fifth 2019 prospect in the last four days to commit to Oklahoma, whose class is now ranked No. 1 by both Rivals and 247.
