Pitt had five players selected in this season’s NFL Draft. Several others caught on with teams and former linebacker Bam Bradley not only did that but managed to stick with the Baltimore Ravens.
Bradley has earned playing time, too. Unfortunately he suffered a torn ACL in this weekend’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals and is out for the year. He was injured on punt coverage, as he’s been playing on special teams.
Bradley played well in the Ravens’ preseason and survived the final cuts. Coach John Harbaugh had previously called him an ‘up-and-comer.’
That’s a tough break for Bam, obviously. It’s hard enough to stick on an NFL roster after going undrafted and to actually make the team and earn playing time is an accomplishment. Hopefully he’s able to get back on the field next year and keep his spot.
