After a successful season in the 2016-17 NFL calendar year, the Atlanta Falcons hope to have another Super Bowl run. Some of the most anticipated games this season might cause a roadblock for the reigning NFC champions.

Here is a list of the most anticipated games of the 2017-18 season for the Atlanta Falcons.

at New England Week 7

The rematch.

The New England Patriots are by far the most anticipated game next season.

Last year’s Super Bowl will go down as one of the greatest of all-time. Not much needs to be said about the intensity when these two teams meet. The defending world champions look stronger, and it can only be assumed the Falcons want revenge.

It will be a tough road match-up, but a non-conference loss would not do too much harm to the Falcons record.

vs Green Bay Week 2

Not only will the match-up against the Green Bay Packers be great, but it will be the regular season debut of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

A home opener in a new stadium will have a loud crowd. Plus, the Packers fan base is known to travel, so expect a jam-packed house. Not to mention, it is once again a championship rematch.

Aaron Rodgers and company will be fresh in an early Week 2 match-up.

vs Dallas Week 10

“America’s team” comes to Mercedes-Benz Stadium for potentially huge game. If both the Dallas Cowboys and the Falcons are as good as they were last season, this game will be the game of the week for sure.

One thing could stop this from being the juggernaut match-up it is on paper. Quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliot having sophomore slumps. Who knows, maybe the Falcons will have the Super Bowl hangover.

Anything can happen from now until Week 10, but still, on paper this will be a fun game.

at Seattle Week 11

It starts with the Carolina Panthers on the road, then the Cowboys game, and to wrap up the three game stint from hell: at the Seattle Seahawks.

Weeks 9-11 will be a tough test, maybe the hardest trio of games all year. It is loud in Seattle and it can only be expected the Cowboys will give them a hard-fought game. It will lead to another bruiser against a strong team on their own home field.

at New Orleans Week 14

Another potential crucial game is against the New Orleans Saints in Week 14.

It will be a short prep week as they play on Thursday Night Football. A lot will change from now until Week 14, but if the Falcons are in the playoff hunt, this game will be huge.

Rivalry games are tough enough, but this is against Drew Brees, on the road, on Thursday.
