The Los Angeles Chargers shut out the Denver Broncos, 21-0, and here are three key takeaways from that Week 7 game.
Since the their Week 5 bye, the Denver Broncos dropped two consecutive games to the New York Giants and the Los Angeles Chargers, dropping them to a 3-3 record with their playoff hopes slowing drifting through their fingers. Week 7’s game against the Chargers was quite different then the team’s previous three losses, because the offense wasn’t able to put any points on the board. The offensive line was beat at the point of attack and like last week against the Giants, the quarterback play was horrible.
The Chargers were the first to put points on the board, when Travis Benjamin took a 65-yard punt return for a touchdown, giving them a 7-0 in the first quarter.
