Penn State has filled its 10th assistant coach position, hiring David Corley Jr. to takeover as running backs coach. Corley is replacing former running backs coach Charles Huff, who followed Joe Moorhead to Mississippi State.

Originally from Carolina, Corley was a four-year starter at quarterback for William & Mary from 1999-2002. Following his playing days, Corley returned to William & Mary as an offensive assistant coach, spending six years on staff coaching the running backs, quarterbacks, and wide receivers. He moved onto UConn in 2014 with new head coach Bob Diaco, spending three years bouncing between running backs and wide receivers, while also helping out on special teams. Corley spent the past season at Army, where he coached the wide receiving unit.
