The Dallas Cowboys switched it up a bit for today’s practice making the early practice their padded practice and this evening’s a walkthrough. The team will have tomorrow off as they prepare to take on the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday evening. The game will be televised on the NFL Network nationally.
The daily hamstring injury bug yet again, this time it was Sean Lee. Not something to be overly concerned with as it seems minor. It just has become habitual over the years with the team. Brice Butler’s foot injury appears to be minor as well but likely to sit out this Saturday’s game and re-evaluate after.
The Dez Bryant show was on full display once again with touchdown catches against Leon McFadden and Orlando Scandrick. Although, the one against Scandrick seemed to show the savage side of Dez Bryant. On the side it was reported that Cole Beasley claimed that was 2014 Dez Bryant. If Dez is back to that level this season, well as Terrell Owens once said “get your popcorn ready”.

Orlando Scandrick did come up with an interception against Dez during practice. Dez wasn’t able to secure the pass and Scandrick reeled it in. For the most part, Dez was just having his way with the defense.
Jaylon Smith was back to taking first team reps on the defensive side of the ball. Lee didn’t participate in team drills with his tweaking of the hamstring. Smith is not expected to participate in the game versus the Rams but he continues to get the reps in practice. Likely the team may wait until the team returns to north Texas before unleashing him.
Ryan Switzer showed off his quick feet during wide receiver drills this morning. He looked like that hamstring wasn’t bothering him. Fans should get a good look at him this Saturday against the Rams. He is looking to fill the returner role as well as reserve wide receiver.
