Been missing Dallas Cowboys football?

Us too. The 2017 NFL Draft┬áis just 10 days away. Cowboys fans are dying to see which needs the front office will address first and which players will become the newest Dallas Cowboys rookies. But since we’re stuck waiting 10 more days…yes, ten more long days, the Dallas Cowboys social media team has given us a little something to hold us over.

It’s a gradual process leading into training camp, but it starts now on day one of offseason workouts. Check out the newest hype video for 2017:

Today began the team’s offseason workouts. Many of the team’s captains began their voluntary captain’s practices early this month. More of the team will join up to get ready for the 2017 season today. The biggest change the offseason program start brings is official contact with the strength and conditioning coaches. Players will rehab injuries and start getting practice ready over the next two weeks.

Following strength and conditioning the players will spend three weeks working with coaches going through plays and learning. The key part to note during this time period is that the defense and offense can not practice against each other. After that two weeks concludes, the team will have OTA’s (organized team activities) from May 23- June 12 followed by veteran mini camp. There will be no pads and the players will do one on one, seven on seven, or 11 on 11 drills.

Training camp is just three months away, but what matters is that “it starts now.”
