In this video, Jerry Jones tells each player they’ve been drafted, complete with their response and reaction. As Jerry tells each player they’re the newest member of the Dallas Cowboys organization the resounding response across the board by each player is “thank you.” The coaches also mention to many of the players that essentially the various players’ work ethic and drive is what they are most looking forward to and was why they were drafted. In only a couple circumstances were the players talents or skills mentioned at all.
On the other side of the phone, some players were more reserved, while others just about had a meltdown with happiness. Specifically WR Ryan Switzer and S Xavier Woods are astounded in their phone calls with Jones. Take a look at the videos below:
Becoming a Dallas Cowboy will quickly make a young college star one of the most scrutinized members of the NFL. As each coach told them, there’s volumes of work to be done before training camp. But with the passion and drive of these young men, Dallas may finally have the pieces they need to be serious playoff contenders in 2017.
