In a heartfelt goodbye on Twitter, Ware writes that he has prayerfully considered his choice and that it is time to enter the “unknown”. The veteran linebacker thanked his fans and made sure to include Cowboys Nation in his farewell. Ware will complete his career as the eighth place sack leader with 138.5 total.
According to Mike Fisher, Ware could still sign with the Cowboys in a 1-day deal that would allow him to retire as a Cowboy.
