Minicamps started this week, with 89 of the team’s 90-man roster taking the field. It also marked 90 days until the Raiders open the 2018 season. Today we get into the 80s in our countdown at 89 days.
Amari Cooper enters his fourth season with the Raiders as number 89. He started his career with two 1000-yard seasons, heading to the Pro Bowl each season. His numbers dropped last season along with a lot of passes Coop should have caught (10).
Coop was supposed to have taken his game to another level last season. That plan was put on hold for a season due to a knee injury that kept him out of camp that had him unable to take off the weight he usually puts on in the offseason attempting to bulk up. So, instead of getting tougher, he just got slower.
