Speed and the Oakland Raiders once went hand-in-hand thanks to former owner Al Davis. There was nothing like jaw-dropping athleticism to get Davis to salivate at the idea of drafting a certain player.
On Monday, Reggie McKenzie pulled a Davis-like move by bringing in Tulane cornerback Parry Nickerson, the faster player from the 2018 NFL scouting combine, for a visit, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
The 6-0, 180-pound corner only took part in two drills at the combine. He put up 15 reps on the bench press and, most importantly, ran a 4.32 second 40-yard dash.
The former Green Wave defender was a ball hawk in college intercepting the football 10 times and tallying 12 passes defensed during his last two seasons. He also allowed an NFL passer rating of just 41.0 and 32.5 in 2017 and 2016 respectively.
