Chicago Bears Fantasy Outlook-Part 1 of 2
With fantasy season approaching who are some Chicago Bears to look out for?
Today, we look at a fantasy outlook of two players to grab and two players who should be avoided. The Chicago Bears are hoping to compete this year in the NFC North, and production is needed. The Chicago Bears are full of talent this year, but not all will produce when it comes to being a valuable fantasy player. Without giving away too much, let’s dive in to this!
Who to Grab?
Jordan Howard-RB: This is a no brainer when it comes to a top pick at RB. With the Chicago Bears one thing is for certain and that is the Offensive Line will be able to create enough running lanes for Howard to produce as a top-10 fantasy player. A lot of Howard’s success will depend on Mike Glennon or Mitch Trubisky being able to pass downfield. It may be a slow start for Howard, but his fantasy outlook sees him finishing right at the top of the leaderboards when the season ends.
Cameron Meredith-WR: The wide receiver was a big surprise last season. Last year Meredith would of went well over 1,000 yards receiving had he played in all 16 games. With the wide-out being locked in as the #1 option at receiver be ready for a big fantasy season. The only thing to worry about is how well the QB position plays for Chicago. One of the quarterbacks will find success and Cameron Meredith’s fantasy outlook will be right on point.
Who to Avoid?
Mike Glennon-QB: How will the QB’s fair in Chicago this season? Mike Glennon has the starting job, but that should not come with an expectation of fantasy value. I just do not see Glennon keeping the starting job for very long, and that is why his fantasy outlook does not look good. A few flashes of success in Tampa is not enough to risk a pick on the Bears starting quarterback unless it is very late.
Kevin White-WR: White is my second player to avoid as fantasy owners prepare to draft. There is no denying his talent, but the injury bug continues to follow the wide receiver. There will be other wide receivers that come with less question marks than White will. However, this is not to say that if Kevin White can stay healthy he will not have a big year. Personally, Kevin White is someone I am going to avoid, but he does have the skill set to put up a monster season.
Opinions on this Fantasy Outlook?
These are just a few names to watch out for as fantasy draft season approaches. The Chicago Bears do not have many players other than Howard that are going to be picked high in many fantasy drafts. This fantasy outlook article is something to think about as those middle rounds approach in your 2017 NFL Fantasy Drafts. It is never too early to start preparing for a successful fantasy season.
