The Tampa Bay Buccaneers moved to 2-1 as they right the ship to get back on a winning track. While this won’t go down as one of the prettiest victories in Buccaneers recent history, it might be one of the most important.
Winston looked solid and poised especially on the game-winning drive. Finishing the game going 5-5 to put Nick Folk in perfect position to hit the game-winning field goal. While the
While the overall completion percentage of going 22/38 for 58% if nothing to brag about he did finish with a 113.00 rating totaling 332 yards and three touchdowns. Showing his mobility and eluding defenders in the
Showing his mobility and eluding defenders in the bucket and on scrambles he was only sacked once on the day.
Not forcing the ball has been a problem for Winston in his young career and he might have turned a corner in that aspect tonight as most of his throws were on target.
The offensive line was imposing today. They only allowed a single sack while protecting Winston. The Giants came into the day with one of the better pass rushes in the league. The Buc’s offensive line dominated the point of attack all day.

Finally, the Buc’s running game got its feet underneath them. Jacquezz Rodgers had a solid game finding the holes the offensive line made for him in route to an 83-yard performance.
Both Tight ends for the Buccaneers finally showed up. O.J. Howard had a coming out and scored his first NFL touchdown on a beautiful play action pass from Winston for 58 yards.
He showed an improved understanding of the offense and was helping ship and block the Giants defensive ends and linebackers all game.
Cameron Brate led all Buccaneers receivers in yards with 80 and also scored a touchdown. Brate also made an incredible catch on the final drive to put the Buc’s in position for the win.
Both tight ends are carving out a role for themselves in this up and coming offense. We should continue to see them work well with Winston as their chemistry gets better throughout the season.
The defensive line once again stepped up against opposing running backs allowing only 91 yards to the Giants on the ground.
Baker and McCoy have proven to be capable of shutting down the inside run with the best of them this year.
The Buccaneers pass rush something that has to be addressed. In four games so far this season the Buccaneers have totaled one sack.
Eli Manning is not a very mobile quarterback, and the Buc’s gave up a rushing touchdown to him.
If the Buccaneers can’t ind a way to get after the quarterback next week against Tom Brady it might be a long day for the secondary.
