Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will not start the regular season on the P.U.P list according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

General Manager Chris Ballard told Pelissero on Tuesday that Luck has started a throwing program and that this is all a part of the process.

This report comes a week after CBS’s Jason La Canfora wrote Jason Lacaforna wrote that he heard rumblings that Luck could start the season on the PUP list.

Could Andrew Luck Play Week 1?

This news doesn’t guarantee that Luck will start week one against the Los Angeles Rams. Luck still hasn’t thrown in front of the media yet in an open practice. In place of Luck, Scott Tolzien will be the likely starter in Week 1. He’s taken all the first team reps in practice and is quarterback number one on the depth chart.
