It’s official. Aaron Rodgers has been medically cleared to return to play. The Green Bay Packers quarterback made the annoucement via Instagram late on Tuesday night:

“It’s been a long road from that day to this, but I’m happy to say I’ve been medically cleared to return,” Rodgers wrote in the Instagram post.
Rodgers remains on injured reserve for the time being, but he’s eligible to come off on Friday, and at this point, it looks like that’s when it will happen. If so, he’ll certainly start this week against the Carolina Panthers.
The Packers are in a very similar situation as the Detroit Lions right now. In order to make the postseason, they will likely have to win out and get some help from other NFC teams. Unlike the Lions, the Packers have some tough games ahead.
