The main factor in the college decision of 2020 wide receiver Mike Wyman is something that you wouldn’t normally hear from a future collegiate athlete.
A winning culture? Nope. The best chance of reaching the NFL? Not quite. Home feel? Nah.
Wyman’s main factor? Academics.
And the Greensboro, North Carolina native recently received a football scholarship from one of the best public institutions in the country — the University of Michigan.
“My main interest is academics,” Wyman told Maize n Brew. “I will learn and compare my academic options of all programs. (Academics) will determine my direction of play.”
Wyman’s position coach informed him of his Michigan offer, and they had a “great conversation about academics, skill and drill as a wide out.
