On Monday night, New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. took a sketchy hit from Cleveland Browns CB Briean Boddy-Calhoun that had some worrying about a serious injury. Beckham was able to walk off of the field by his own power but crouched down in pain and frustration before getting to the locker room.

Although the hit was legal, it clearly wasn’t a good choice. If Beckham’s left foot would have fully planted before the hit, his knee would have been toast.

Following the game, the Giants announced that Beckham has a sprained ankle. He was also evaluated for a concussion but passed the protocol. Beckham was in good spirits after the game and said that he expects to be ready for the start of the season against the Dallas Cowboys on September 10.

This occurrence doesn’t really have many (if any) fantasy football ramifications. By all accounts, Beckham is fine and should be ready for Dallas. It bears monitoring, however, as he is almost certainly going to miss practice time.
