With Sunday being the first week back of fantasy football, we can look ahead to the two MNF games being played tonight. Our two matchups include the New Orleans Saints taking on the Minnesota Vikings, and the Los Angeles Chargers taking on the Denver Broncos. Both of these matchups look very promising for fantasy football owners. Plus they can both make or break if you will get the win in fantasy tonight. With that being said here is are Monday night fantasy football preview.

New Orleans vs Minnesota

This game will matchup the good Minneosta defense, against the good New Orleans offense. Adrian Peterson is making his return to Minnesota after signing with New Orleans in the off season. The Saints have a good offense, but their defense is not the best. While the Vikings have a good defense, but their offense was lackluster at times last season.

Fantasy Matchups To Exploit

Sam Bradford

Bradford is set to have a good game against a very bad New Orleans defense, and should be able to get some solid fantasy points up if you needed a spot start this week.

Dalvin Cook

Cook is making his NFL debut tonight, and it could be a good welcoming party for him tonight. With the Saints defense not being one of the best in the leagues, you should look for Cook to take advantage and to use his speed to pick up some serious yards tonight.

Fantasy Matchups To Beware Of

Michael Thomas

With Thomas being the legitimate number one receiver for Brees he will be getting the most attention by Minnesota’s defense tonight. With Xavier Rhodes presumably going to be on Thomas for the whole game it is tough to want to play Thomas. Beware of him tonight, because he could help make or break your start to your fantasy football season.

Mark Ingram/Adrian Peterson

Nobody knows how this is going to play out this season, and it does not look like it will be a good thing to start the season. With the splitting of the carries, it makes it hard to know what running back to play tonight. Beware of this matchup, because of how good Minnesota’s run defense can be.

Los Angeles Chargers vs Denver Broncos

This late game could be a defensive clinic, and if you have either defense on your fantasy teams you could be in a good spot. Looking ahead this could be a very low scoring game both on the scoreboard, and in fantasy.

Fantasy Matchups To Exploit

Chargers Defense/Special Teams

This one makes the most sense, due to Denver still having trouble at quarterback. The Chargers have a good young defense, built around Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. Those two can get to the quarterback and will make it hard for him to throw the football. Look for this young defense to make a statement on Monday Night Football, and come out and contain that Denver offense.

Fantasy Matchups To Avoid

Any Denver Receiver

Denver is struggling at quarterback with no clear leader at the position. Plus with a good young defense like the Chargers it is hard to see any of Broncos receivers produce tonight. Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders could have solid games throughout the season, but this won’t be one of them.

Keenan Allen

Look for Keenan Allen to struggle tonight with guys like Chris Harris Jr. covering him the entire game. Allen has been injury prone as of late, and the Chargers will look to keep him on the field longer than the first game. The Chargers offense will look to go in a different direction tonight. Plus Keenan Allen will not see as many targets as everybody thinks.
